We are therefore very excited to deliver the news that the Porsche Panamera has undergone some changes and is due to hit showrooms this November sporting a completely revamped, new and more aggressive look.
The Panamera Gets Taller
The four-door Coupé will keep the distinctive long bonnet, pronounced shoulder line and alloy wheels, but will become 35mm longer, 5mm wider and 5mm taller than before, with a 30mm longer wheelbase. The Panamera has had the grille completely redesigned, resulting in a fiercer overall look, along with sharper air intakes and new LED lights decorating the whole of the rear of the car. Larger exhaust pipes and an automatically deployed rear wing complete the new look.
What About the Inside?
Step inside the cabin and seat yourself within, and you will notice a new dashboard layout in comparison to the old model; touch-sensitive controls have replaced the previous models many buttons, and a centrally mounted tachometer stands reminiscent of the legendary 1955 Porsche 356 A. Dials have been replaced by two 7-inch displays, while a 12.3-inch touchscreen sits itself pride of place, featuring an online satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and an updated voice control system.
And Under the Bonnet?
The new Porsche Panamera houses new V6 and V8 engines; the most powerful of the model range uses a 4.0-litre V8 Turbo engine, performing at 542 BHP and 770Nm of torque. This accelerates the car from 0-60 MPH in only 3.8 seconds, along with a top speed of 190 MPH – astonishing figures indeed. In the 4S model, a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine propels the car from 0-60 MPH in a just-as-impressive 4.2 seconds and performs at 434 BHP, an improvement of 20 BHP in comparison to the previous model. We simply cannot wait to test these beastly engines on the roads, and for sure, we will be hitting that ‘Sport Response’ button, which boosts engine responses and allows the driver to choose between Normal, Sport, Sport Plus or Individual drive modes.
