Hackney Students Get Some Full Throttle Work Experience

2015-11-11 12.51.04-1We were recently delighted to welcome students from Hackney College, who were with us to learn about automotive marketing and how a company such as ours works on a day-to-day basis. The students had been set a task, which was as follows:

” You are an automotive marketing team who have been asked by Signature Global to put together a proposal of how to generate more enquiries for their Automotive Division, which could in turn be developed into sales.”

2015-11-11 12.32.56To help them achieve their aim, we gave them face-to-face meetings with John Luttrell, Commercial Director at Signature Global. This gave them a great perspective on what it’s like to run such a complex organisation, as well as just how many factors there are in making a project successful! All our staff were on hand to help, and enjoyed the enthusiasm the students showed towards our business and ways of working. In particular, we were told that the students did not expect us to put so much effort into ensuring our clients get the perfect car every time – hopefully a valuable lesson in customer service that will serve them well in their future careers.

Unsurprisingly, the students were also super keen on the range of cars we have, and were absolutely thrilled to examine our fleet at close quarters. Ever helpful, our staff member Tim Page started the Lamborghini Aventador for a group of enraptured students, who all fell in love with the engine noise!

We very much enjoyed having the students at Signature, and were thrilled to be praised by one of the programme organisers, who said: “The feedback we have had from the college and students has been great.  They were impressed that people would give up their time and be supporting them. “

We look forward to welcoming future students to Signature, and will look out for our previous intake in the business pages in years to come!
