Safety
It's not just on the road that the MINI John Cooper Works sees off all-comers. It's a pretty stiff competitor in the safety stakes, too.
Sophisticated, high-precision regulating and suspension systems combine with performance disc brakes to eliminate dangerous situations before they arise. And there's almost a whole alphabet of standard safety features, including Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist and RSC Tyres, to name but a few.
And there's a first among front-wheel drives: Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with sub-functions Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) as standard.
