Range Rover Sport 5.0 SuperCharged Autobiography

Range Rover Sport 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography
The Range Rover Sport is one of the most iconic cars ever produced. With a laser-sharp focus on delivering utility and luxury for the Range Rover driver, this model is a beautiful example of the efficiency of luxury supercars. From the moment you release the clutch, your self drive car journey in this Range Rover will be an unforgettable hybrid of excellence, speed and finesse.

The performance abilities of the Range Rover
The Range Rover engine is more than just a means to an end for drivers, it is the beating heart of what makes this Range Rover Autobiography perform to the high standard drivers experience during self drive hire. If you choose Range Rover car hire in London as your way of engrossing yourself in your passion for supercars, you will be astonished by the acceleration speed of 0 – 60 mph in only 5.9 seconds. A maximum speed of 140 mph tops off the powerful ability of the 5 litre engine, whose spray-guided direct injection feature is another reason to account for the stellar technical performance of the Range Rover Autobiography.

The super V8 5 litre Supercharged petrol engine improves fuel economy and is a growing factor for car hire enthusiasts when selecting their vehicle of choice. As changing attitudes to the environment continue to grow, most drivers who love supercars are fans of keeping the environment healthy and safe for future generations of motorists. This is why Range Rover engineers have crafted a heavy-duty engine that has improved fuel economy. The numbers prove how impressive fuel emission reductions are: this Range Rover only has a fuel consumption rate of 14.9L per 100 km.

Feel the sense of ultimate control with the hill descent feature with gradient release control to help you go down steep hills as you drive. High performance brakes are also included in this Range Rover for a seamless way to control journeys. The multitude of choice in the Range Rover, which also includes the Dynamic Stability Control, illuminates the key reason why the Supercharged Autobiography is so popular with our self hire drive clients: it offers efficiency in an opulent setting.

The design and look of the Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography
This Range Rover supercar includes all the exterior hallmarks you would expect from a luxury SUV. The rear view camera allows a 360 degree vision for the driver and keyless entry is supported by sharp doors that allow drivers and passengers to enter a stunning cabin full of interior features.

Interior mood lighting sets a calm and serene ambiance for any self hire drive. The cabin of this Range Rover provides comfort for passengers in a mixture of ways including cup holders for beverages and soft leather seats with power-lumbar support. Heated rear seats are an extra touch of opulence in the cabin: the heat from the seats can be adjusted to keep passengers body temperatures warm during car journeys in cold weather.

Front Park Distance Control is a useful feature on the Range Rover Sport, especially for self drive hire if not familiar with the cars capabilities and manoeuvring. When reverse is selected, four ultrasonic sensors in the front bumper are activated automatically (with the rear sensors). The audible warning tones help you to manoeuvre when parking, and when driving forward into a limited space the system can be operated manually.

Keyless Entry
Keyless entry is a modern must have and a must have for Signature Car Hire when selecting new models from Range Rover. It enables you to access and lock/alarm the vehicle without the need to take the remote smart key out of a bag or pocket. The vehicle is automatically unlocked and the immobiliser deactivated when the smart key comes within close proximity and you operate a door handle. Similarly, using the buttons on the door pull, the vehicle, is locked, alarmed and immobilised.

Electric, Heated and Power-folding Exterior Mirrors
Easy adjusting exterior mirrors banish frost within seconds and neatly fold away to avoid damage when parking in confined spaces, ideal if you are not used to driving large SUV's.

Automatic High Beam Assist
This is a great automatic feature which helps make night driving an altogether more relaxing experience; Automatic High Beam Assist (AHBA) uses a forward facing camera to automatically switch high beam on when external light levels dip below a certain threshold. Importantly, AHBA is also designed to detect preceding and approaching traffic, and will alternate between high and dipped beams to avoid dazzling other road users.

Privacy glass
Privacy glass allows rear seat passengers to travel more discreetly and can provide increased security, ideal if this vehicle is required on a chauffeur hire option.

Electric Slide/Tilt Glass Sunroof
As well as giving the vehicle’s interior an even lighter, airier atmosphere, the versatility of the electric slide/tilt glass sunroof provides opportunities to enjoy the elements in all types of weather - good or bad!

With its superbly appointed interior and elevated cockpit, it’s designed to cosset and cocoon every passenger in extreme luxury. The ergonomically designed centre console and controls place the emphasis on the driving experience, whilst the interior mood lighting brilliantly enhances the experience of night-time driving.

Command Driving Position
The renowned command driving position, first established by Defender, is now a central feature of every Land Rover vehicle. It gives greater visibility ahead and of the surrounding environment as well as adding to the driver’s control and feeling of security and car hire experience.

Our Range Rover Sport Autobiography has sporty red leather seats as standard, and for extra luxury we have added heated rear seats too so your passengers can travel in comfort too.  Situated in the centre console, between the front row seats, the cooler compartment is a convenient place to keep items such as drinks chilled on a warm day.

V8 5.0 Supercharged Petrol
510PS and 625Nm of torque enables longer gearing for improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions. Fuel consumption 14.9L/100km on EU combined cycle. 31 percent more power and 14 percent more torque than the previous 4.2 litre Supercharged engine. Highly efficient, spray-guided direct injection. Conforms to EU5 emissions regulations. Lightweight construction uses recycled materials.

Driving
The sophisticated, fully adaptable six-speed transmission with CommandShift actually responds to your driving style and individual driving conditions by reconfiguring shift patterns, as appropriate, for optimum driveability in all situations, giving you an all round better driving experience. This means you’ll enjoy a better response, smoother and more efficient gear change, as well as improved economy.

Adaptive cruise control with forward alert
Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert uses radar to scan the road ahead and detect the speed and distance of vehicles in front. Once a cruise speed is selected, the system will maintain this speed until a slower vehicle in front is detected. It will then reduce the vehicle's speed to maintain a constant time gap between the vehicles, until the slower vehicle moves away, at which point the set cruise speed will automatically be resumed.

Information, Communication and Entertainment
Providing a revolution in the clarity of driver information is the virtual instrument panel with the latest Thin Film Transistor (TFT)-LCD screen, which allows the display to be adapted to suit the driving conditions. Other essential information, as well as being the communication and entertainment hub of Range Rover Sport, is provided through the Touch-screen on the vehicle's facia.

Portable Audio Interface
The Portable Audio Interface allows the connection to the In-Car Entertainment system of an iPod with full track and search integration. An MP3 player or a mass storage device can also be connected via the USB port.

Four-corner air suspension with Terrain Response
Four corner air suspension allows the suspension to be raised or lowered manually as well as guaranteeing a constant ride height regardless of load. It works with Terrain Response® technology to help you confidently conquer a variety of different surfaces you may encounter, including gravel, grass, snow, rocks, and tarmac. By simply turning the conveniently positioned dial to the appropriate icon, the engine, transmission, suspension, and traction settings are instantly reconfigured for optimum driveability in all conditions. The Terrain Response system includes Dynamic Programme which can provide more performance-orientated responses to driver input by remapping steering, throttle and gearbox settings.

This driving technology now takes yet another step forward with Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist. Gradient Acceleration Control prevents situations where the vehicle might accelerate too quickly on a steep gradient (and Hill Descent Control has not been selected), thereby allowing the driver time to regain control. Hill Start Assist automatically releases brake pressure on a steep gradient and prevents the vehicle from inadvertently rolling backwards.

Safety
Six airbags
Our Range Rover Sport features six airbags, with the front row having side thorax and front airbags, side curtain airbags are also fitted covering front and rear rows. The vehicle displays real strength in impact tests, thanks to its hydroformed frame design and advanced engineering.

Alarm System – Volumetric alarm plus tilt sensor and battery backed sounder
Even though The Range Rover Sport is equipped with some of the most advanced security technology available, it is still reassuring to know that it possesses a sophisticated, multi functional alarm system as a deterrent: Volumetric alarm (against intrusion), tilt sensor (to help prevent theft by towing) as well as a Sounder backed by a separate integrated battery.

Electronic Parking Brake
The Electric Parking Brake is easily engaged through a lever on the central console, and can be released manually or simply by driving away.

PREMIUM ICE PACK harman/kardon LOGIC7 digital surround system
The harman/kardon LOGIC7 digital surround system boasts 480 watts of power. The 13 individual speakers produce a dramatic 3D effect from a 12-channel digitally controlled amplifier. The in-dash CD player can also play MP3 encoded CDs, plus there is the added benefit and convenience of the Portable Audio Interface. Whichever you choose, this system will make the most of your music.
