The legend that is the Geneva Motor Show is always a beaming highlight of the Signature Car Hire year, and 2016 looks to be no different. Signature Car Hire were honoured to attend on Press Day of Geneva Motor Show, and it did not disappoint in providing the pinnacle of platforms to announce an abundance of new production cars as well as concept cars in the making.

Big reveals include the new highly anticipated Audi Q2, the completely transformed Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet and the beautiful Aston Martin DB11; here, we give you the lowdown on the biggest new releases to be unveiled at the show, forming potential candidates to join the ranks of our luxury car hire fleet.

Abarth are to make quite an impression this year with the reveal of its Fiat 124 Spider; unveiled for the first time at the show, this rally roadster announces 168 BHP from a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

What an interesting race that would be – the new Abarth 124 Spider against our little pocket rocket 500 Abarth…  perhaps one of our passionate self-drive hire clients will be happy to take it on?

Alpina B7
Alpina is barring no holds with the debut of its stunning take on the new BMW 7 Series; the saloon will produce a powerful 591 BHP from a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, shared with a smaller B5 Bi-Turbo. We could not take our eyes off of the unmistakable style of the latest addition to the BMW range on Press Day; it is a marque that will slot in nicely to our BMW hire fleet, and one we are sure will be a popular Everyday Car Hire option, should it become part of the Signature Car Hire clan.

Aston Martin DB11
The long-awaited Aston Martin DB11 will finally catch its first breaths at the Geneva Motor Show this week; the most significant car for the brand since 2003, the DB11 will stun audiences worldwide. The luxury marque will be available later this year, and Aston Martin has named it the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted of all of its models so far.  It could be a strong contender to park within the Signature showroom and become a part of our Aston Martin Car Hire fleet.

Our Audi Car Hire fleet will also be excited to hear of the debut of two brand new Audi marques at this year’s show.

The new Audi Q2, the fourth sibling of the range, debuts as the entry-level SUV of the brand, and is set to hit showrooms later this year. Perhaps this model will become the baby of our 4×4 Car Hire fleet; with its understated nature but undoubted elegance, the Audi Q2 would form an ideal Everyday Car Hire option.

Never one to leave its audience wanting more, Audi will pack another punch with the unveiling of its all-new Audi RS Q3 – and what a car it looks to be. Housing a hard-working five-cylinder engine, the Audi RS Q3 gives its driver the experience of over 360 BHP with the push of the pedal. We love the sound of that…
