Be Inspired the Mercedes Way.

With more and more car manufacturers opting to develop electric cars, there is fierce competition to ensure that any car developed is appealing to the end consumer, and Mercedes have certainly pulled out all the stops with their 1930s inspired Vision.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet takes its design cues from the art deco era which was heavily influenced by clean lines, sailing and aviation. Mercedes new offering is over 6 meters long and features a single line that runs the length of the car. The back the of car is inspired by yachts and has been given, a less than inspiring name, the “boat tail.”

Don’t be put off by the fact this car is electric. If it ever makes it on to the market it will still be powerful and come with impressive stats. This all-wheel drive cabriolet has four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors pushing out a massive 750 horsepower helping it achieve 0-60 in less than four seconds and a top speed at 155 miles per hour. The flat battery pack positioned at the base of the vehicle will keep the car on the road for 200 miles according to Mercedes. With DC fast charging, Mercedes says the Vision model can also be charged to go up to 60 miles in five minutes. Watch this space…
