Detroit Auto Show

As a company committed to bringing its clients the best new cars on the market, we often review cars on show at worldwide auto shows, examining the latest developments from all your favourite marques.

The recent Detroit Auto Show (or North American International Auto Show, to be correct) featured more than 500 new cars and saw almost 800,000 people attend over several days. We were extremely impressed with some of the models on display, not least the grand long wheel base Range Rover, which is already due to be added to the Signature fleet in the next couple of months.

Two of our favourite marques, Bentley and Mercedes, also dazzled us with multiple new models and special edition cars. Bentley put on a fabulous display of their new Continental GT V8 S CoupĂ©, whose sleek exterior hides a V8 engine capable of producing 521BHP and taking the car up to a top speed of 191MPH. Alongside this we were impressed with the beautiful special edition Bentley Mulsanne Birkin, only 22 of which will ever be made. Mercedes on the other hand showed off a strong line-up that was headlined by the fabulous new C Class and the extraordinary S600, which has been rightly described by Carbuzz.com as ‘a Maybach in all but name.’

We also loved the Porsche 911 Targa, which drew a huge crowd at the show, and the MINI John Cooper Works Concept, which gave us a preview of what we can expect from the Works package later this year. Detroit left us with a lot to think about, so stay tuned for updates on our latest acquisitions!
