Getting to know the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster

lamborghini-aventador-lp750-4-superveloce-roadster1Heard a lot about the Aventador Superveloce Roadster but don’t know what the fuss is about? Let us enlighten you with our simple guide.

Who are its parents?
Unsurprisingly, the Roadster is related to the Lamborghini Aventador, one of the most popular Lamborghini models of all time. It’s a Superveloce model, meaning that it’s sports oriented and fast, very fast. In fact, the Aventador Superveloce has been designed to be the fasted and most exhilarating car the marque has ever made.

Just how fast is it?
Thanks to a power boost of 50hp, a 50kg weight loss and a 6.5 litre V12, the car can do 0-62MPH in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed is 217MPH, meaning that it can match its hard top sister any day of the week.

What does it look like?
Like an Aventador on a crash diet, but with a retractable roof alongside the razor sharp cheekbones. The roof is made of two pieces of carbon fibre that weigh less than 6kg each and can be stored in the boot.  The car also boasts something called a power rear window, which “allows the free-flowing engine sound to fill the cabin with invigorating tones and harmonics during spirited driving”. Sounds pretty good to us!

When can I get one?
Er. Well deliveries begin in early 2016, but given they’ve only made 50 models we suggest you get down to your Lamborghini dealer immediately to see if any are left.

Is there anything else I need to know?
If you’re a Lamborghini fan, and like your cars pared down for the track, then no, you’re probably on your way to buy one already. If you need a bit more convincing we suggest test driving one of our Lamborghini hire cars one weekend and then check out the official page on Lamborghini’s website.
