Great News on Porsche 918 Spyder All Round

The Porsche 918 Spyder appears in its soon-to-be-released brochure, online at home on German roads, and has its Nurburgring lap time published, all in one week.

The amazing Porsche 918 Spyder has had a busy time in the media of late.

Fans eagerly anticipating the launch of the car have been treated to several juicy snippets, starting with the leak of the brochure for the impending release.  Insight into colours, finishes and the luscious interior and exterior can be seen in glorious Technicolor.  Seductive illustrations allude to the body, available in solid colour, metallic, liquid metal, or Weissach package with Martini or Salzburg Racing Design.  Whilst the twelve colours are attractive enough, the two liquid metal colours in chrome blue or silver are purely stunning.  With an option pricing at €50,000 it is however intended to remain exclusive.  Other options are the clear-coat carbon fibre Targa roof.  The racing packages also include a six-point harness, front and rear diver planes, lightweight brake system, and Alcantara and carbon-trimmed interior, decked with technology and ergonomic design.  Any car in this production run of just 918 units is however designed to be select.

Also of interest to fans was to learn that this car is the fourth fastest around the legendary German fast track.  This hybrid has taken on and beaten all but three of its supercar peers.  7 minutes 14 seconds was the blistering pace set by the Porsche around Nurburgring.  The only cars faster are the     Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package, Dodge Viper ACR and Gumpert Apollo Sport.  Even these are merely three seconds at most faster.  The 918 Spyder is quite simply the fastest road-going hybrid around.

To crown this achievement, a video has also been posted online showing the car rounding the roads of the circuit in the German countryside.  Field and forest fly by as this modern marvel takes the straights and bends with ease.  Showing off all of its own curves in lively colour, the car is masterful in its approach to the course.

To feel the same sort of reverberation, the Porsche 911 Turbo 997 can be driven on short-term hire.  Whether you choose to take the car on track or on the open road, the experience promises to be dynamic.  In scintillating silver, the metallic silhouette is alluring in its invitation. The performance credentials deliver on this temptation.  480 bhp of power magically allows you to take the 0-60 race in just 3.7 seconds.  The interior completes the picture with sumptuous comfort, entertainment and technology.
