Think the Aventador is going to grow old gracefully? Think again! Lamborghini have just launched the Aventador S, an exciting new model characterised by new aerodynamic design, redeveloped suspension, increased power and new driving dynamics. The ‘S’ is the suffix of previous enhanced Lamborghini models and defines a new benchmark for the V12 Lamborghini.
Those familiar with the original Aventador models will immediately notice the exterior changes, particularly in the front and rear. Modifications include a more aggressive nose, a longer front splitter and a prominent rear diffuser which features a number of vertical fins that amplify the airflow effects, reduce drag through pressure recovery and generate downforce. There are also design elements reminiscent of previous cars, such as the lines of rear wheel arches reminiscent of the original Countach.
The Aventador S chassis retains the Aventador’s unique and extremely rigid lightweight carbon fiber monocoque with attached aluminium frames resulting in a dry weight of just 1,575 kg. The Aventador S is redeveloped around a ‘total control concept’ to provide a superior drive, ride and performance; every aspect of the car’s suspension and electronic control systems has been advanced, with the goal of particularly enhanced control and driving emotion. One of the highlights will certainly be the new four wheel steering system, which we can’t wait to try out!
If you want to try one of these beautiful new Aventador S models, a standard spec will set you back around £281,000. Alternatively, why not hire on of our beautiful Lamborghini‘s available to rent on a self-dive hire basis.
