The Lamborghini Aventador has been around since 2011, but that doesn’t stop it feeling fresh and, quite frankly, breath-taking, every time you see it.
Lamborghini have built on their success by introducing a number of limited editions over the years, with this new Pirelli version being the latest.
This edition has been created to honour the tyre manufacturer, with whom Lamborghini have been working since 1963, when the 350 GTV prototype was demonstrated at the Turin Motor Show.
All Lamborghini cars from this point on have been graced with Pirelli tyres, including this latest limited edition model.
Nothing about the car’s drivetrain has been changed, meaning that you’ll still benefit from the glorious 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 690 BHP and 510 lb-ft of torque.
The car can do 0-60MPH in an astonishing 2.9 seconds, and build up to a top speed of 217 MPH.
Where the special edition differs is in its bespoke livery, which melds glossy and matte finishes.
Two options are available: customers can have the roof, air intakes, pillars, bonnet and mirrors in either glossy or matte black, paired with a range of colour options for the rest of the body. Matte black allows for yellow and red options, whilst the glossy black can only be paired with white, black and greys.
Whichever colour combination you end up with, however, you’ll always get a thin red stripe running along the car, designed to mirror Pirelli’s branding.
The wheels are 20 and 21 inch, finished in glossy black, accompanied by P Zero high performance tyres and red brake callipers.
Inside, the cabin is covered in black Alcantara with red stitching, and the seats also boast red Lamborghini and Pirelli crests. A red stripe along the seats mirrors the one on the exterior, while the dashboard features a Pirelli special series’ plaque.
