AutoCar have gotten their hands on one of the new Mercedes V Class models, and given it a thorough review. Calling it ‘one of the best upmarket MPVs on sale’, the magazine report that the car “blends typical Merc luxury with a cavernous interior that offers a different level of business class comfort to a regular high-end saloon”.
The review highlights the incredible amount of space available in the vehicle, which they drove in the regular seven-seat configuration that comes with a folding table for impromptu in-car meetings, something facilitated by the fact that the chairs can be swivelled to face each other. There are eight seats altogether with the option of a conference style configuration in the rear.
It also points out the usefulness of the split tailgate, which allows for more practical access to luggage in the ample storage area. Storage is also available from the seat nets, door bins and vast central cubby.
Not that it will be of interest to those using a V Class car with a chauffeur service, but the review does praise the dashboard configuration, which is presented with an 8.4 inch tablet-style infotainment screen and other Mercedes gadgetry: Speaking of which, they catalogue some of the car’s many benefits: “Sat-nav comes as standard, as does Bluetooth, Active Park Assist with a reversing camera, cruise control, heated leather seats and Sidewind Assist.”
