The sun rises on a fantastic trio of new models from Audi in this fabulous video recently released by Audi AG Kommunikation. The suite of models features facelifts for the Spyder and Coupé, and a new V10 Plus.
On the face of it, new LED headlights and rear lights, a six-point single-frame grill with horizontal chrome inserts, restyled bumper, redesigned diffuser and air outlets, retooled exhaust pipes and a new R8 logo signify the edge that this new look gives to the car.
Inside, gear lever paddles, the instrument cluster and trim have all received an upgrade. The diamond-stitched leather seats, door panels and headlining are a new option as well.
Of course, such an electrifying visual update is amazing, but even more so is the stimulating attention that the car has received under its skin. A new seven-speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox is added to all models. This uses two multi-plate clutches to ensure smooth gear changes as the gears are moved directly. Achieved in just hundredths of a second, this ensures a seamless transition for optimal ride comfort, speed and acceleration. A six-speed manual remains available.
Added to this are new brake discs meaning a lower overall body weight, and larger 18-inch alloy wheels for the V8, and 19-inch alloys for the V10.
The R8 V10 Plus offers the most stellar performance of all. Sharing its name with Audi’s Le Mans winning cars, the car forcefully presents a tuned version of the 5.2 litre V10, complete with 550 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque.
