The Big Apple is currently hosting another fantastic motor show, demonstrating an obvious passion that exists for new cars in New York. They certainly are putting on a show, becoming the platform for new releases, debuts, concept cars and new developments in the world of automotive engineering.

Here we have a round up of the latest news and gossip from the longest-running motor show in the USA, and a few of our favourite features.

Audi R8 Spyder

This car will be undeniably eye-catching once officially on the roads, we can tell you.

Jaguar F-Type SVR

The New York Motor Show blessed us with the Jaguar F-Type SVR in motion; the brand became the epitome of innovation at the show, letting us drive it through a New York tunnel and enjoy the sound of its beautiful engine – a sure selling mechanism in this stunning new car.

Mazda MX-5 Hard-Top

While the previous Mazda MX-5 stands as one of the most iconic roadsters to date, the new MX-5 Hard-Top stole the show this year; the car features a gorgeously complicated targa-roof retraction mechanism, delivering more rigidity than a full convertible. Undoubtedly, this new model also carries substantially increased style as well as performance.

Mercedes-Benz lifted the covers off of the GLC Coupé this week, its design heavily influenced by the GLE Coupé and featuring the same sloping roofline, narrow rear window and large tail-lights. The front of the GLC Coupé reflected the current GLC SUV exactly. Sure to be a showstopper in the showrooms, the GLC Coupé will be available to purchase later this year.

The Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet was also revealed at this year’s show; it cleverly crafted design and promise of a powerful performance drew in the crowds, eager to learn of the 469 BHP of the C63 and the 503 BHP of the C63 S Cabriolets. Just when we thought the C63 Saloon could not get any better, Mercedes-Benz went and raised the roof…

Mercedes-AMG E43

Following the inspiring release of the completely transformed Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the brand has followed through with a must-have AMG model in the form of the Mercedes-AMG E43. This machine can reach 60 MPH within only 4.6 seconds, along with a top speed of 155 MPH – and of course, looks absolutely striking. Hats off to the team at Mercedes-Benz – we cannot wait to get our hands on the wheel of the new E43.

Nissan GT-R

Offering an interesting overhaul on the current model, Nissan has tweaked the look and interior of the car, as well as enhancing the performance of both the suspension and the engine of the new Nissan GT-R.

Indeed, the New York Auto Show maintained it’s high caliber reputation this year, and certainly impressed with the above cars, to mention a few.
