Next generation Panamera and Bentley Continental will have the same platform

High-performance will be crucial for next Porsche Panamera
The Porsche Panamera is going to have redesign that is going to change a few features now that Porsche is being integrated with the VW Group. The interesting news of this change which is due in 2016 is the Panamera will share the same platform as Bentley’s Continental. What is being said is that the cars will be built using VW’s new front engine with a rear-wheel drive platform. This news shows that VW is looking at the Panamera and the Continental as cars geared to drivers who like performance cars. The cars will be built with steel and aluminium to ensure that they are safe to drive as well as more lightweight compared to the current generation.

The 2016 Panamera details
This Panamera is going to be offered with a range of engines such as diesel, V8 and V6. Even though there will be performance changes, the design of both cars shouldn’t change too much however they will feature some improvements to the design. We are excited to see both cars when they are revealed; the Panamera should be released in 2015 before the Continental.
