Porsche Announce New Macan GTS

macanThe marque behind the 911 have just unveiled their new 2017 Macan GTS, which will go on sale in March 2016. Designed to enhance the current Macan range, the car will offer more power, a unique interior and exterior, a re-engineered suspension and better connectivity options. All in all, it’s set to deliver a ‘more enthusiastic’ driving experience that will thrill those looking for that extra dose of Porsche performance.

The Macan GTS has the same 3 litre twin turbocharged V6 engine as in the Macan S, but tweaked to produce 360hp at 6000 rpm. It features an all-wheel-drive powertrain similar to that in the Macan Turbo, as well as Porsche’s renowned seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission combined with the Traction Management System (PTM). When combined with the Sport Chrono Package, this pushes the GTS from 0-60MPH in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 159MPH.

macan_GTS6Air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management, will come as standard, providing adjustable ride height and damper stiffness – meaning that drivers can prepare themselves for any driving condition. Furthermore, the GTS has a 10mm reduction in ride height compared to the Turbo, which further lowers the centre of gravity.

Externally, the Macan GTS is characterised by many black exterior accents, as well as the GTS designation on the rear hatch. Even the 20inch RS Spyder Design wheels are finished in Satin Black. Inside, the GTS contains Alcantara-covered sports seats with GTS logos, as well as optional GTS embroidery and styling. The interior features eight speakers and a high quality sound system, as well as Porsche Connect, which provides Apple CarPlay integration, or Porsche ConnectPlus – allowing drivers to access real-time traffic while passengers surf the net.
