Porsche Clubs Anniversary is Starting Point for a New Model Car

As 2012 marks the 60th anniversary for the German car manufacturer’s elite Porsche Clubs, the motor powerhouse has brought out a sexy new number: the Porsche 911 Club Coupe. It was in 1952 that 13 Porsche drivers founded the world’s first Porsche Clubs in Germany, and in honour of this 60th anniversary, Stuttgart has taken 13 new-generation 911 Carrera S models, offering them an exciting settlement. As a special edition car, the German automobile manufacturers will only market 12 of these luxurious cars across the globe, further embodying the car manufacturer’s stance on producing unique, rare and visionary motors for an exclusive audience. Of the 13 models, based on the latest 911 Carrera S, one will remain with the Stuttgart manufacturers.

All of the models will showcase the classic Brewster Green hue on the body and feature the standard Sport Design Package that will add a new front bumper and a ‘ducktail’ rear spoiler, whilst the alloys will be 20-inch SportTechno wheels. The standard PASM sports suspension, typically associated with these glamorous cars, allow the driver to drop the 911’s ride height by as much as 20 millimetres. The newly developed Carrera S Powerkit boosts the car’s performance with an added 30 horse power, augmenting the expected 394hp to a spectacular 424hp. Porsche report that with the PDK double-clutch transmission, the 911 Club Coupe completes the 0-100km/h (62mph) stretch in an impressive 4.0 seconds.

Interior design hasn’t been gleaned over, as is to be expected with the German luxury car manufacturer’s repute. Plush dark brown leather sport seats are offset by the delicately detailed beige stitching, proving once more that this is serious craftsmanship at its best, both on the exterior and interior of the Porsche 911 range.  Illuminated door entry guards bearing the model designation and anniversary logo add that extra oomph factor, with the client’s name etched onto the aluminium trim kit, with a personalised laser engraving bearing the following: “911 Club Coupe – personally built for”. A real touch of class to add to this package.

The car is only available through a lottery service for 11 fortunate clients, after registering their interest on the German car manufacturer’s dedicated website before the 16th July of this year.

For those unable to get through the raffle ticket process, there is still the chance to feast your eyes on other models as the car company will be exhibiting some unique models at its museum to commemorate the 60th anniversary. Of note are the 1973 911 T Coupe, 911 Turbo S belonging to Dr Wolfgang Porsche, a 1970 914/6 GT and a Porsche ‘Jagdwagen’ Type 597.
