Production version of the Audi Quattro Concept to happen

Audi might make a production version of their concept car from 2010, the Quattro Concept. At the Paris Motor Show in 2010, Audi showed off a concept car that was meant to commemorate the 1984 Sport Quattro. The Quattro Concept stood out with details like a 2.5 litre 5-cylinder engine and 350 horsepower. Dual clutch transmission was also included in the concept car which whetted the industry’s appetite for more – however Audi was not keen on producing the car. However, the tide looks to have changed as news indicates that the concept car will have a production version in time for the Frankfurt Motor Show.

What the new Quattro could be like
If this does happen for Frankfurt, the car would be made from lightweight carbon fibre, magnesium and aluminium. Production will be limited and buyers can expect to see prices starting from £100,000. The car would also have a 4.0 litre V8 core instead of the 2.5 litre engine from the actual concept car.

As more details come out, we are sure this Quattro Concept production version will ace the industry’s tough checklists at Frankfurt. In the meanwhile, why not try out the Audi range by hiring from us such as the Audi R8 V10 Coupe and the Audi  TT Coupe.
