The Range Rover Evoque has done it’s brand proud over its lifetime; selling over 520,000 units and winning over 182 awards on an international stage, the baby Range Rover has certainly met with success in its five-year lifetime. To celebrate, Range Rover has turned their attention towards the model, and Signature Car Hire is excited to reveal details of the baby Range Rover’s facelift here.
What New Features are to be Discovered on the Evoque?
The facelift is mild, but certainly includes some changes to keep the model competitive. The brand has focused on improving the technologies in the car, with the Evoque now sporting a 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, which optimises in-car connectivity by providing “faster responses and more intuitive operation.” The graphics all have the ability to be customised, personalising the drive and experience for each driver.
Range Rover has also featured a new “Low Traction Launch”. The brand has promised this new launch feature will solidify the “Range Rover Evoque’s outstanding all-terrain capability” – we will be happy to test it, Range Rover! It is more than likely that it is the same system utilised in the Jaguar F-Pace, though that model names it “Low Friction Launch”. It enables the car to benefit from low speed acceleration, even on slippery surfaces.
Furthermore, Land Rover’s Route Planner app will enable the pre-planning of journeys which will then sync to the car, as well as providing a platform to share ETA’s with those expecting you. The system will offer high-definition 3D and bird’s eye view surround camera for ease of parking.
Five Years Later, it is Time for a Special Edition
The facelift brought with it some rather rousing news in addition to changes on the marque itself: Range Rover will manufacture a new “Ember” Special Edition, a flagship model to showcase the Evoque’s bold design choices. Riding on gorgeous 20-inch wheels and based on the HSE Dynamic, the Range Rover Evoque Ember Edition is available only in Santorini Black with Firenze Red accents – even the names of its paint sound exquisite. It sports black exhaust surrounds, a black grille and darkened lights, all part of the Black Pack to complete the exterior design. The theme continues inside the cabin, where the driver can enjoy Ebony Black seats with Pimento Red stitching to the edges to add contrast. Black and red carpet mats seal the look. The special Ember edition of the Range Rover Evoque will be available for a three-month period only this summer, with first deliveries due in September.
