A1 – Gateshead, Tyne and Wear

A3055 – Isle of Wight
Known locally as the Military Road, the road running to Freshwater Bay from Chale, runs along the stunning cliff edge, boasting sea to one side and never-ending downland to the other. At its highest points, this blessing of a road gifts drivers with a view of the whole coast, spread in front of you like one of the world’s prettiest, unspoilt paintings. Finish your trip with a visit to the Isle of Wight itself, and bask in the peacefulness of the sea and, hopefully, sunshine.
Northern Ireland
Full of coastal roads and country lanes, Belfast provides an exhilarating drive, with an abundance of extreme sports, quiet valleys and subterranean boat trips along the way to keep you occupied. Head up the Antrim Coast Road to the Giant’s Causeway, head inland to Magherafelt and challenge yourself to some treetop paintballing. Explore the Ancient Seat of Kings of Ulster at Navan Centre and Fort, and be sure to venture East and meet with the Mountains of Mourne. You can even try your hand at trout fishing if you head down to Drumgooland House!
Northumbria
Northumbria hides beneath its wings intriguing Roman ruins beside windswept islands and gorgeous public houses, making for an ideal self-drive tour within the United Kingdom.
