Over the years, the Signature showroom has parked many a supercar within its significantly high-specification Car Hire Fleet; our Experience Centre has been blessed with countless luxury marques, from Porsches’s to Ferrari’s to Aston Martin’s. Signature Car Hire have never, in particular, been unfamiliar to a Lamborghini, and thanks to the Lamborghini team’s trusted relationship with our CEO, Dee Bhatia, our clients have often been able to get to grips with the steering wheels of the latest Lamborghini’s before many others.
Signature Car Hire was absolutely ecstatic to announce in our March newsletter that our showroom will be the first in the United Kingdom to receive delivery of none other than the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder. This 2016 supercar has not failed to turn every head in the trade, credited to the maintenance of impressive statistics, despite being transformed into a convertible version of the hugely successful Coupé. This expertly built work of art is expected to accelerate through our doors at the beginning of May – yes, as soon as that – and Signature Car Hire will be the only Car Hire company to facilitate the model as a self-drive hire.
The Lamborghini Huracán Spyder is the convertible of anybody’s dreams, and Lamborghini has done amazingly well at maintaining the same aggression, wind efficiency and stiffness in this drop-top model as is ever present in the Coupé. In fact, many say that the Huracán Spyder has brought with it an even better ride – it certainly has not compromised on a thing. Lamborghini have revealed that a considerable amount of hard work went into getting each and every detail of the new Huracán Spyder just right; months were spent “redesigning every single element for the precise purpose of eliminating the roof”, according to the brand, in order to achieve the same performance, despite the shift in aerodynamics and weight brought by the drop-top roof. The roof itself only takes 18 seconds lower and raise, and can be done at speeds of up to 31 MPH – practicality at its best! No longer will you need to have both windows open on a typically cold UK day just to appreciate the beautiful sounds escaping from the powerful engine behind you; simply drop the top.
The Huracán Spyder houses the same V10 engine as is concealed in the Coupé, producing an unparalleled 602 BHP and a top speed of 201 MPH. Almost frighteningly, this machine is capable of launching from 0-62 MPH in just 3.4 seconds. Who needs roller coasters when you can arrange a self-drive hire in the Huracán Spyder?
