Prior to the official launch at the Detroit Motor Show, the world’s fastest four-seater convertible is previewed by Bentley. The GT Speed Convertible is looking good.
Photographs and details of the world’s fastest four-seat convertible have just been published. Cleverly disguised in purple, pictures of the Continental GT Speed Convertible were published by Bentley, ahead of the car’s official release at the Detroit Auto Show, but after a leak revealed renderings of the car. With a top speed of 202 mph, there is no faster way for four people to go in style, luxury, and comfort.
There is of course the immaculately-styled exterior and exceptional detailing inside, which, thanks to the Mulliner Driving Specifications include seat-integrated neck warmers, one can expect from Bentley. The car is powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbo W12 unit that has been subject to an upgrade program so that it rivals the GT Speed coupé’s capacity for 616 horsepower. Such power goes to all four 21-inch custom-designed wheels courtesy of the eight-speed automatic gearbox. Larger exhaust tips, a reinforced frame, and suspension cater for the increased power as well. Amazingly, the large Bentley achieves 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. Ventilated brake discs are there to bring everything to a conclusion, with carbon-silicon carbide brakes as an option.
