The Amazing Cars Bond has Driven – and the Ones he Should Drive Next

As well as a sharp dress sense, penchant for martinis and a certain disregard for the feelings of women, James Bond is renowned for his cars. Although he was more of a Bentley man in the Ian Fleming books, in the films the name James Bond has become synonymous with one thing: Aston Martin.

As such the latest film, Spectre, features a beautiful Aston Martin that is not just new, but also entirely exclusive to the movie. Known as the DB10, this car features new styling that is suggestive of the marque’s future direction, including a flatter lower nose and a beefier rear end. You can see the DB10 in action in a thrilling video produced by Aston Martin, below.

It wasn’t just Astons they were destroying, either. The Bond villains are also renowned for driving exception cars and in Spectre they take the wheel of a Jaguar C-X75 supercar, which has also been made exclusively for the film. We feel like we need to switch careers and become actors! You can see exclusive pictures of the Jaguar, posing alongside the beautiful Moneypenny, above. The blog also features snaps of the Land Rover Defender and the Range Rover Sport SVR, which completes the brilliant automotive line up for the film.

Arguably, however, Bond has missed a trick. There are some beautiful limited edition Aston Martins out there just begging for him to take them for a spin. Take the One-77 for example, built entirely from carbon fibre and with a top speed of 220MPH – surely the perfect thing in which to evade the bad guys?

If that doesn’t take his fancy, he should pop down to Signature where we have a fine range of Aston Martin hire cars to choose from – although we’d appreciate them being returned in one piece! We have a limited edition V8 Vantage N420 Roadster, resplendent in a very suitable colour: Quantum Silver. We also have the Vanquish coupe, the DB9 Volante and the exquisite Virage Volante for Bond – or any budding spies for that matter – to hire. Just remember that the ejector seats don’t come as standard!
