Wraith is Unwrapped in Geneva

The gems from the Geneva Motor Show are being unveiled and Rolls Royce has got in on the act. After all of the hype, many car watchers were wondering whether the Wraith could match all the hype. It is giving it its best shot as seen at the Geneva Motor Show.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce said: “The most powerful Rolls-Royce in history, Wraith promises the sense of adventure and speed that drove our founding forefather”. The person they are referring to is the pioneering Charles Stewart Rolls, one of half of the founding team of the company.

The unveiling of the Wraith illuminates the fastest ever speed achieved by a Rolls Royce model. The car can go from 0 – 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. With a V12 engine that gives the coupe a 563 horsepower, this car is definitely a change in a different direction for Rolls Royce. At the motor show, the eight speed transmission is automatic and it is connected to GPS satellite navigation to help drivers preselect where they are going. This type of innovation is continued with what Rolls-Royce calls an ‘on-board valet’ which is through the voice activated connectivity element of the car.

The coupe design is something brand new for Rolls-Royce; the coach doors make this Rolls-Royce look edgy on the road without compromising on the luxury that we like about Rolls-Royce. The cabin of the Wraith is stitched with soft leather upholstery and wood panelling.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös also said: “Wraith’s starting point is luxury, refinement and quality, traits that remain as important to Rolls-Royce customers today as they were more than a century ago.” By introducing the Wraith at the Geneva Motor Show, Rolls-Royce reinforces its commitment to luxury.
