Christmas, or indeed your festival of choice, has come early for Lamborghini fans.
The new Lamborghini Super-Veloce was unveiled in grand style, leaving us astonished by the marque’s continual ability to produce cars that surprise and astound us.
Key changes in the car’s looks and performance mean that this is truly a stunning new edition to the Lamborghini range.
In performance terms, the car now has a top speed of 217MPH and, most impressively, a 0-62MPH time of just 2.8 seconds.
This change is down to a power boost of 50HP on the 6.5 litre V12 engine, as well as a dramatic 50kg weight loss from what was already a light, aerodynamic car.
Part of the weight saving comes from interior modifications that have stripped out creature comforts – including carpets and the multimedia system – and added carbon fibre interior door panels, bucket sports seats and air intakes.
Carbon fibre is used intensively on the exterior too, including the wing panels, rear wing and engine bay cover.
The looks are also different, and the Super-Veloce boats a fiercer, hungrier look that will terrify other drivers on the track!
Aggression can clearly be seen in the front air intakes and splitter bar, as well as the brooding rear spoiler and trapezoidal rear facia.
It has to be seen to be believed, and you won’t need to look at the Super-Veloce badges in front of the rear wheel to know that you’re faced with something exceptional.
The wheels have also been upgraded, and the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV boasts centre-locking lightweight alloy wheels measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
Their performance is further accentuated by Pirelli P Zero Corsa sports tyres and carbon ceramic brakes.
