As one of the capitals of the world, Miami refuses to be outdone. China was the location of a golden Lamborghini once but Miami has gone one step further. Now that a Lamborghini Aventador wrapped in real gold was spotted in the Floridian city, we are pretty sure that we would rather be there seeing it in all of its glory. This gold Lamborghini, named the ‘AU 79’ was spotted at the Exotics and Espresso event, a popular Miami car show.
Lamborghini are known for bringing special touches and twists to their popular cars. As another way of piquing interest in the Aventador, the Italy-based company decided to up the ante by creating a special gold wrap. Instead of mimicking gold or its sheen, the wrap features real gold which has been melted into the wrap.
No one knows whether this Lamborghini is going to be sold or not – people are just in awe of how Lamborghini even managed to include real gold in the exterior. US estimates put the car at around $379,000 (£243,000). The gold wrapping is not the only gilded feature of this Lambo: it is the cover for the 6.5 litre V12 engine that is going to thrill drivers who get behind the wheel of this car. The same performance specifications in the Aventador are also part of this golden Lamborghini. These include an acceleration time of 0 – 60 mph in only 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. Imagine enjoying all of these Lamborghini performance features except tinged with gold. This is what dreams are made of.
Not for the faint hearted, this golden Lambo takes flamboyancy to a new level. Every inch of its exterior is covered in the gold wrap which makes it the type of car that stands out across all seasons.
