A Most Exclusive Rolls-Royce up for Sale, a la Beckham

Football memorabilia of a different kind is now for sale, on the floor of a Las Vega car showroom. Whilst this may be a second-hand vehicle, it is not your average trade-in.

David Beckham has put his customised Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Convertible DUB edition on the market.  The custom-built Phantom Drophead does however not just appeal to fans of the sporting legend.

Cloaked entirely in luxurious black, from the polished steel front grill all the way through to the custom Savini forged 24-inch wheels, the one-off has been highly maintained since the footballer ordered it in 2008.  Its attraction extends beyond its logbook however, only having 5,900 miles on the odometer.

The sumptuousness of the car though demands the attention of a serious buyer rather than a fanatic football follower.  The rich interior features light cream leather to contrast with the lush diamond black exterior of the open-top.  Bucket-seats front and rear hint at the sportiness of the model however.  The theme was even carried through at one time by the ‘23’ embroidered on the seats.  These combined with the rear teak decking to create a hint of nostalgic motoring.  This edgy supercar is completely up to the minute however.  The bespoke design includes multi-media TV-DVD entertainment units installed into the rear of the front seats.  Brooklyn and his brothers were well catered for.

There is something for every family member in the car though.  Dad David can easily appreciate the performance of the 453 bhp 6.75 litre V12 and six-speed automatic transmission.  Mum Victoria can cocoon herself in the luxury which swathes this car inside and out.

This three and a half year old car now seeks a new family to adorn.  It would certainly suit an owner who enjoys a high-profile life as there is nothing discreet about this strident vehicle.   It is however a harmony of all the things that Rolls-Royce provide.  The unique combination of black, cream and teak wood certainly transmits opulence.  Obviously Rolls-Royces are not designed for buyers with a limited budget, not even second-hand ones.  For the right owner, this black beauty can be driven off the dealer’s floor for just under $400,000. For those with a more realistic budget available to hire a Rolls Royce, our Phantom Drophead is a close rival to this superstar’s car.
