Aventador to Break Even More New Ground?

For a car with limitless wow factor, one can look no further than the amazing Lamborghini Aventador.   It would seem however that this car will continue to exceed expectations.

After a wonderful début year for the Aventador in 2012, and following a highly-successful launch year in 2011, its pursuit of greatness continues.

According to recent reports, the Aventador will continue to storm the Geneva Motor Show with two possibilities for next year’s Swiss event.  The Aventador GT could appear at the exhibition with four seats, or the Roadster could materialise in a convertible format.

These grand plans are expected to result in the March exposition playing host to the birth of the Roadster.  However, an even more tantalising unveiling could be seen should the folk at Sant’ Agata Bolognese stretch their artistic licence.  They are apparently developing a concept of the Aventador which would have four seats.  The roomier model would be a benchmark in the supercar segment and would certainly be ground-breaking as far as Lamborghini’s mid-engined creations are concerned.

In order to breathe life into the creation, a longer wheelbase would be required.  The V12 engine is likely to stay in its position of a mid-rear mounting.  An interesting feature could be to see access to the rear seats gained by suicide doors, aft of the front switchbacks.  The removable panel, as seen in the Murciélago and Diablo roadsters, may be absent in favour of Ferrari’s 458 Spider-style folding unit.

Great excitement would be raised by the GT version, although better business sense is likely to see the Roadster prevail in the model which hits the roads.

The Murciélago remains nevertheless an exciting prospect for self-drive hire.  Its dramatic exterior of classic Lamborghini geometry is emphasis by Argos Orange body paint, dramatic front and rear air dams, switchblade doors, and the contrasting black R-Top soft convertible roof.  This drama is equalled only by the engine, drive train, and mechanics that are the supporting cast to the supercar.  The 6.5 litre V12 mid-positioned engine, with 6-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive, provide a legendary Lamborghini self-drive experience. There simply is nothing that lets you have the same feeling of magic on a short-term hire basis.
