Ferrari 458 Italia To Migrate To 458 Monte Carlo?

Gossip around the vine is feeding Ferrari aficionados with glee.  A possible street-racing edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia could be on the cards.

A derivation of the 458 Italia on steroids could possibly be something that Ferrari fans can look forward to, at some point in the future.

Speculators put forward the idea that the 458 Italia could be morphed into something known as the 458 Monte Carlo, the first clue about the intent of this possible supercar.  Monte Carlo is home to the Monaco Grand Prix, the glamorous and exquisite Formula One held on the city streets.  The new car would contain all of the sparkle and seduction of any Ferrari for for the Riviera lifestyle, and yet would be a firm contender for flying around the twists and turns of the road race.

In line with previous Ferrari iterations of their legendary cars, this car will outpace the horsepower of the current Italia.  It could total as much as 620 hp if rumours are to be believed.  The power-to-weight ratio will also be apparent as the car is expected to feature a stripped-out interior, lighter parts, a firmer suspension, and most probably upgraded brakes to allow stops that are just as fast as its starts.

Whilst all of this is speculation at this stage, our 458 Italia is real life flair on four wheels.  The Ferrari 458 Italia is quite simply a spectacular masterpiece from Maranello. There is little to be improved so it would be likely that an adaptation for a different purpose, rather than an enhanced version would be made by the people at Scuderia Ferrari.  A drive in our two-seater Berlinetta will show you just why.   The chassis was developed in conjunction with the aviation industry to yield 15% more rigidity.  The mid-rear mounted V8 reaches up to 9000, rpm, a new limit even amongst supercars. Carbon ceramic brakes with Ferrari’s hallmark Pre-Fill Logic braking technology instil a further sense of precision into this superbly-engineered animal.  The F1 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox ensures razor-sharp gear changes for uninterrupted power and acceleration.  It is not hard to see why this Ferrari has won over thirty awards including Best performance Engine and Best Engine Above 4 litres.

The attention to creature comforts also received first class attention.  Ferrari enlisted the help of Michael Schumacher when it came to the ergonomics of the driving position.  All the important controls surround the steering wheel for F1 inspiration. Pininfarina were involved on the total look of the car, and the resulting style can be seen in abundance.  Aerodynamic efficiency combines with Italian panache for the ultimate self-drive with finesse yet flamboyance. This is one drive that will satisfy all your senses, regardless of destination.
