Say hello to the new Discovery Sport

range-rover-discovery-sport-newYou only need one glance at the Range Rover Sport to see that the Sport range is revitalising Land Rover. Sleeker, sexier and more powerful than previous versions, the Sport models seem to represent everything you could ever want from a luxury 4×4.

The new Discovery Sport is no exception. It’s palpably different on the exterior, with a sleeker, more aerodynamic shape that gets rid of the traditionally clunky Discovery rear end. If it looks a bit familiar, it’s because it’s built on the same platform as the Evoque and the Freelander – hence those appealing curves. The most striking detail is the new grille and LED headlights, which signal that this model is as much about style as it is about all-terrain performance.

Inside is luxurious yet rugged, the perfect combination for those who know a 4×4 is meant to roam far and wide. There’s a huge amount of room for all the family, with a sliding second row that can offer similar legroom to a Range Rover, and a third row you can adapt to meet loading or seating needs. It’s also stuffed full of technology, featuring a new infotainment system that’s operated through an eight inch touch screen. Top of the range sound systems and a host of entertainment options are also available.

range-rover-discovery-sportThis spacious, luxurious car performs well both on the motorway (with a top speed of 117MPH) and off road. It has 212mm ground clearance that, coupled with clever mechanical and technical engineering, mean that no terrain will be a problem. It is, unsurprisingly, 4 wheel drive, and can wade up to 600mm through water!

Overall, it’s a wonderfully versatile car, with oodles of space, that’s perfect for taking the whole family on a long weekend break or holiday. Signature will have this car available for long term hire – including continental drive and chauffeur options – and we expect high demand: watch this space to find out how to be the first to get your hands on one!
