The Huracan Spyder is a soft-top version of the already iconic Hurácan, whose luxurious comfort, pure and dynamic design and inspiring technology ensure that it is astounding car in its own right.
Signature is particularly proud to present this Spyder to its clients as the car is coated in the company’s signature blue (forgive the pun). We feel that the stunning colour accentuates the sculpted and sensual design of this car, and it certainly turns heads when you’re driving!
Did you know that the car’s design is actually based on the spiky hexagonal forms of the carbon atom? That doesn’t mean it’s strayed too far from the unmistakeable Lamborghini design, however, as demonstrated by the flawless roof profile - visible even when the soft top is open – and aggressive front end.
The performance, powered by a 5.2 litre V10 engine, is as expected - superb. Yet it also delivers the unique thrill that only a soft-top can, the unbridled freedom of driving in the open air, with the sounds of nature and the engine's roar gloriously intermingled in one unforgettable soundtrack.
You won’t be disappointed with any aspect of this stunning Huracan Spyder, and it might just change your mind about what convertibles are capable of. The car can do 0-62 MPH in just 3.4 seconds, and get to 124 MPH in an incredible 10.2 seconds – blink and you’re there! Add in a top speed of 201MPH and you quickly see that the car's performance has been entirely uncompromised by the removal of the hard top.
The car is powered by a highly acclaimed 5.2 litre V10 engine, which revs up to 8,700 rpm. Even if you don’t care much about engines, you’ll fall in love with the way this one sounds. Coupled to the V10 is the "Lamborghini Doppia Frizione" (LDF) 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which delivers lightning-fast gear shifts.
To ensure that the driver gets the most from the technology, the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder comes with three different driving programmes. These: "Strada", "Sport" and "Corsa", impact the characteristics of the engine, sound, transmission, all-wheel drive and ESC handling system. These programmes are complimented by the Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale system, which uses six sensors to supply information on the car's movement to its handling systems.
The driver also benefits from the highest quality carbon-ceramic brakes, which comes with 14.96 inch diameter front disks. Whether you’re on the racetrack or the road, this car’s performance won’t disappoint.
Designed to cut through the air and become one with the sky, the Huracán Spyder is a pinnacle of Italian made taste and hand craftsmanship, a sports car concept elevated to the performance and sensations of a coupé.
Lamborghini’s design language is constantly evolving and this car is their most modern, edgy offering to date. It’s sharper and bolder than anything they’ve produced before, yet still retains that effortless Italian flair that has made them popular throughout the world. This is a car that everyone wants to drive, and with Signature you can.
The chief difference on this model is, unsurprisingly, the soft-top roof. Although many of the car's competitors have hard-top convertible roofs, the marque chose to remain true to their Spyder legacy by keeping the soft top. Fitting perfectly into the Spyder's silhouette while up, the roof folds away in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 31 MPH.
Opening the roof not only displays the car to wonderful advantage, but it also raises two moveable fins at the rear, which start at the seatbacks and continue the roof line. For those who like their rides quiet, there is even an integrated duct reduces turbulence in the headroom during open top driving.
The overall exterior of the car is a miracle of engineering. The chassis achieves unparalleled rigidity by combining aluminum with carbon fibre, while the body panels are also aluminium. Furthermore, this innovative chassis enables the car to be just 120kg heavier than the regular Huracán despite its roof mechanism, another reason for that amazing performance we talked about earlier.
As befits a performance orientated car, the two seater cockpit, is entirely designed around driver and passenger ergonomics. The driver benefits from gear paddles and control functions located on the leather steering wheel, as well as easy access to the soft top, rear windscreen and start / stop button on the centre tunnel console. The start / stop button is underneath a red cover, giving it a military jet feel!
Both occupants also enjoy sports seats covered in the finest leather, with the infotainment system in easy reach of either side. This has a 12.3-inch TFT display which plays host to the Lamborghini Infotainment System II, featuring a full media interface so you can play music from your phone and access a host of other features.
Overall, the interior feel is one of absolutely quality, with the highest quality materials and finish present everywhere you look. It’s a little piece of Italian heaven wrapped up in a very fast, very mean exterior!
We like this car so much we got it in our brand colours. Need we say more?
