Details of the New 2016 Range Rover Evoque Convertible

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible was revealed at the LA Motor Show last year, causing us all to wonder just how we have survived all of these years without a luxury convertible off-roader in our lives. Starting at a meaty £47,500, the Evoque Cabriolet is striking with both the top up or down, marginally longer and wider than its hardtop sister. Extra strengthening around A-pillars and underbody bracing has maintained the car’s structural rigidity, as well as gaining an extra 277kg in some models. Due to the additional weight, the 0-60 MPH time has increased on the new Marque from 9 to 10.3 seconds, while the Evoque Cabriolet performs at 178 BHP with a 237 BHP four-cylinder Si4 available as an optional extra.

Of course, as expected from the brand, space, design and style have in no way been compromised on this gorgeous new car due to hit the roads soon and is most certainly a contender for the Signature Car Hire Fleet.

Porsche Mission E Confirmed for 2020

Porsche has announced that an electric Porsche Saloon – the Porsche Mission E – will be launched by 2020; the Mission E concept first revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show has been approved and given the go-ahead for production. The Marque will remain performance focused, with the ability to put out an incredible 592 BHP. Porsche has also claimed the car will achieve 0-60 MPH in just 3.5 seconds and a 310-mile range.

According to the brand, around €700 million is due to be invested in Porsche’s main site in Stuttgart, accommodating an extra power plant, paint shop and 1400 jobs while expanding for the production of electric vehicles.

2017 Mercedes AMG-GT Roadster Spotted Testing

Following Mercedes bosses confirmation that a roadster version of the Mercedes AMG-GT is due for production next year, the disguised Marque has been spotting testing on the roads in Germany. The mule looks to buck the trend of the Mercedes SLC and SL and instead sport a fabric, soft-top roof. Tobias Mathers, Chairman of Mercedes-AMG, has commented that the AMG-GT Roadster will be “a proper sports car” and could be revealed before the end of the year; without doubt, it will be the next AMG-GT version to hit showrooms. It is likely to be available as both the regular 456bhp GT and the 503bhp GT S at launch, and of course, likely to have quite a premium to reflect the addition of a fabric roof. Again, another strong contender for our Mercedes Car Hire Fleet!
