2013 Range Rover Captured In Road Test Shots

The next generation of Range Rover lives up to the spirit of this iconic 4×4 marque. Its position of master of the extreme vehicle legend, which originated the SUV market, is entrenched.

A return to what made them the benchmark in prestigious motoring and premium comfort appears to be heralded with the forthcoming Range Rover edition.

The silhouette of the car continues to evolve, from all perspectives. At the front, the grill takes on a more substantive tone, the chrome horizontal lines being offset, due to more depth being projected from the darker mesh behind. The front light clusters lose their right-angled stance as obtuse angles add a more feline essence to the eyes of the car. Front air intakes below the lights are positioned either side of the number plate’s prestige panel for an enhanced feeling of the aggression that the Range Rover can deliver as it takes on all conditions. With the Range Rover Evoque now catering to the needs of a more cosmopolitan Range Rover driver, we see the true essence of four-by-four driving brought back to the surface. A return to the origins of Range Rover is seen in the way the fog lights and sump guard show a marked presence over all conditions.

The side profile of the forthcoming off-roader entrenches the charisma for which the Range Rover is legendary. It is reassuring to know that the classic proportions of the all-road vehicle are maintained to enforce its supremacy from every angle. A more rounded rear profile, when viewed from the side, is however even more pleasing to the eye than ever.

Just a little more excitement is shown in the rear of the new Range Rover. Subtle curves around the back door and light clusters, as well as a lift in the line of the bumper do much to increase the appeal, whilst ensuring that all of the commanding presence of the car is maintained. The stance on the road remains, unmistakably, in charge.

Capturing the diversity of what it means to be a Range Rover driver, this is a car which truly does perform the four-in-one vehicle functions for Range Rover was designed – a seven-days-a-week luxury motor car, for business, leisure, high performance, and yet a pragmatic approach to cross-country work.
