1. The Miura
Stephan Winkelmann, the CEO of Lamborghini famously said: “The Miura was a celebration of our history, but Lamborghini is about the future.” This hints to the retro styling and image that the concept car had. Even though it never saw production, the Miura shows the company’s ability to see humour and refreshing flair in car design without being too serious.
2. Lamborghini Estoque
This car was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show which was an eye-catching Lamborghini with four doors. The engine was also in front of the car, instead of the traditional location of being behind the cabin. Even though it has been five years since it was seen, it looks like the Estoque isn’t going to be produced.
3. Caia
This concept car came out at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. 3 models were built and the car was seen as a car with purpose thanks to its 4.0 litre V10 engine. With 400 horsepower and a six speed transmission, the car was never fully produced due to internal management changes.
4. Diablo VT
This car has a 5.7 litre V12 engine and its design shows off the Zagato influenced as seen from the irreverent design of the car. The car also has a 492 horsepower – participants of the 1996 Geneva Motor Show got to see the car first hand as this was the motor show where it was revealed. The car was finally sold to a private collector a few years later.
5. Urus
Many whispers are going around as to whether the Urus will be manufactured or not. Lamborghini needs to convince Volkswagen that it could work but judging by the SUV body and the glossy red coat of paint from the concept pictures, the Urus could be a winner if it is ever produced.
