The 50th Anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini this year goes beyond events and festivities. There are no events that will be repeated so this is a rare opportunity for Lamborghini lovers to admire the spectacular procession of supercars which takes place in Italy next month.
Since the announcement of the 50th anniversary celebration, many events have been taking place all around the world.
Early this year, Lamborghini grabbed attention by showing off 5 Aventador Roadsters on the runway of Miami International Airport, where fans of the Aventador enjoyed watching the 5 cars reach high speeds of 210 mph. Then, the Lamborghini Veneno was the Lamborghini’s surprise, built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company and revealed at Geneva Motor Show last month.
It is no surprise that the main event takes place in Italy during May 6th to 11th, where Lamborghini will commemorate the day on which the company was incorporated and the cornerstone of the production factory was laid.
The Grande Giro Lamborghini, a 750-mile rally is due to arrive in Milan on May 7, before leaving the city for Forte dei Marmi on the Tyrrhenian coast on May 8; on May 9, the tour travels to Rome. Then events continue on May 10, when the cars drive to Bologna. From there, the celebration travel to Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
Cities and towns en route will provide pit stops for the hundreds of vintage and modern Lamborghinis which will take part to the Grande Giro Lamborghini, and gathering points for supercar fans to admire and photograph the cars.
