Ferrari Teams up with LEGO and Shell Oil for a Special Reveal

Ferrari always know how to get attention in smart ways and they have done it again to celebrate the start of the 2013 Formula 1 season which will begin soon. The marque commissioned a replica of the 2011 F150 racing car made from LEGO pieces.

The Danish company, Shell Oil and Ferrari clearly had been planning this for some time, due to the evidence of the level of detail that went into building the replica car. Authentic Pirelli tyres were even added to the body of the replica as well. Other interesting details about this car include the steering wheel and seat replica to make it as real as possible. Shell’s involvement in this project will allow the public to buy limited edition kits of the FXX, 250 GT Berlinetta, 458 Italia and the F40 for example (most likely for those outside the US). F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa were at the press conference around the replica car which added the extra racing punch that the industry expected from this display of the Ferrari racing replica.
