An interview with our Executive Chauffeur Mo Hafeez

1. How long have you been working for Signature Chauffeuring?
I have joined the Signature Chauffeuring team in June but have been aware of the company for some time and am excited to join an established company which uphold such high standards.

2. How long have you been chauffeuring?
I have been chauffeuring since 2007 so am well experienced and have a good knowledge of the roads in and around London.

3. What made you become a chauffeur?
I really like driving! It suits my personality and I like the nature of the work.

4. What makes a great chauffeur?
Someone who can get you to your destination safe and sound and leaves an impression. You need to be smart, courteous, punctual and have a good knowledge of the roads.

5. Why do you enjoy chauffeuring?
You get to meet people from all walks of like, bankers, lawyers, pilots, CEO’s of big international company’s and sometimes even film stars! No two jobs are ever the same and that keeps it interesting.

6. What’s been you best moment as a chauffeur?
No single things stands out in my mind as the jobs are so varied and all interesting in one way or another, but working on film sets is a lot of fun.

7. What’s the best Chauffeur vehicle in your opinion and why?
It has to be the Mercedes S Class. Nothing like it, good to drive and to be driven in. Luxurious yet understated and above all very comfortable to drive and be driven in. I am very much looking forward to the new shape S Class arriving soon.

8. Signature provides a high standard service which is second to none. How does Signature go out of its way to be different from the competition and what is the meet and greet service?
We provide a friendly and professional service and our meet & greet service is a full airside service to and from the aircraft. We assist with all the check-in and departure and arrival processes and we assist with your luggage.

9. Do you prefer Transfers or As Directed Chauffeur Hire? And what’s the difference between and transfer and a as Directed Hire?
I prefer As Directed jobs, they are just more interesting. Transfers simply taking a client from point A to point B, so although an essential service it is much more basic than as directed which can take you anywhere at a moment’s notice, sometimes shopping and sometimes the financial areas of London.

10. Signature provides a professional meet and greet service for all major airports. Why would an international traveller want to use Signature Chauffeur service?
Signature’s Head Office is located very close to Heathrow, making it ideal for clients coming into the UK on business. We can be at Heathrow at a moment’s notice and get the client on route without delay. We are also conveniently located to other London airports and major road networks. Our personal account managers can also help clients with hotel bookings and similar arrangements offering international travellers an all-round great service.

11. Signature offers an executive service and pickups and drop offs are professionally handled. What would a client expect when you arrive to pick them up? What is included as Standard on a chauffeur hire?
We would be punctual, always checking flight times for any change in schedules for example, and we would be extremely professional. We have the capabilities to adapt to all types of clients, some want to be driven in a quite car so they can work, others like to chat and we have to be able to adapt to suit our client’s needs. The car would be immaculate and there essentials like WiFi access and complimentary Signature water available. If it’s raining, you’ll find us waiting for you with an umbrella and if you want a specific newspaper we will have it sitting on the seat ready for you. It’s all about service and we maintain a very high standard from the moment we pick up a client to the moment we drop them off.

12. Tell me about your life away from work, what do you do in your spare time?
I have a very young family, 3 kids. A girl who is 5, a boy of 3 and a baby boy only a few months old. Most of my off time is looking after them and taking them to the park. Small things in life make a big difference.

13. If you could drive any person alive or dead who would it be and where would you go?
Bill Clinton, Long drive to Scotland… He must have a few stories to tell!

14. What motivates you?
To do the best job I can.

15. What couldn’t you live without?
My family.
