Aston Martin Leads at Nurburgring

The good news for Aston Martin keeps on coming at Nurburgring. The marque had the lead at the 41st Zurich 24 Hours of Nurburgring at around the 15 hour mark of the race. This lead was definitely because of hard work and strategy. This lead was achieved even despite the challenging weather which included heavy rain and fog. The race was done in the Aston Martin Bilstein #007 V12 Vantage GT3.  The team also had the Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S to choose from to drive and this car was scheduled to complete laps of around 25 km.

John Gaw, the team principal of Aston Martin said: “Our car and drivers performed faultlessly before the session was red flagged enabling us to lead from early on in the race – we need to continue to do push with the same momentum but ensuring that we get the car to the end of the race.” David King, the head of motorsport at Aston Martin said that all of the team’s drivers did fantastically considering the treacherous conditions of the race. Considering the weather conditions, Aston Martin’s lead is remarkable and testament to the strength of the marque’s team.
