LA Exhibition shows off the hall of fame of coupes

signature-LA-exhibition1If there was a way to have an all-star team of your favourite sports, you would probably go into the archives and pick your all time favourites. We think this is what the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles did when it was picking all time best coupes to show at an exhibit. The famed automotive museum asked 12 celebrity guest curators to choose their favourite sports coupes of all time and the museum would showcase their picks in their hall.

Jaguar sponsored the exhibit which meant that its brand new F-Type would be showcased. Other excellent all time sports coupes included the classic 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing which is the inspiration for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, one of our best loved self-drive hire supercars. The 1954 Plymouth Explorer Concept, the 1961 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO and the 1963 Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso were also chosen. The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the 1964 Porsche 356SC, the 1967 Jaguar E-Type, the 1968 Ford GT40 Mark III, the 1974 Iso Grifo and the 1991 Acura NSX also made this shortlist.

Which ones are your favourite from this all time sports coupe list?
