The bustling mega-city Shanghai was clearly the place to be judging by the fact Italian company Lamborghini showed off their 50th anniversary version of the Aventador in the Chinese metropolis. The Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary edition was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show. While the Veneno got a lot of attention when it was revealed, the excitement was just as palpable for the Aventador’s anniversary edition.
This edition will have 720 horsepower which is ideal for its 6.5 litre V12 engine that needs to flex its muscles. It is also said to be 50% more efficient than the flagship Aventador which makes sure it will appeal to Lamborghini fans that are focused on sustainability. The exterior colour is yellow which has turned out to be the most popular colour for Lamborghini purchases. The anniversary edition also has a black and yellow leather upholstered cabin which matches the exterior with the same colour scheme. The company has announced that only 100 models will be manufactured which leads to the ultra-exclusivity that you can expect from Lamborghini.
To cap things off, Lamborghini produced a mini-film highlighting when a man falls for a Lamborghini at a young age and when he actually purchases one when he is older. 50 years of Lamborghini caught on film and through the Aventador’s anniversary edition only add to the mystique of this iconic car brand.
