Lamborghini Sets the Rumour Mills Ablaze With Announcements of New Models

Given the intense secrecy around the development of a new model it is no surprise to know that gossip is heavily involved in the news around anticipated new model launches.  Combined with the excitement around a marque such as Lamborghini it is doubtless that any news will be highly anticipated and passed around.  The latest word is that Lamborghini has something completely thrilling in store for visitors at this year’s impending Geneva Motor Show, with not just one but two new models.

The buzz is that this legendary motoring house is due to set the show ablaze with its latest creations.  Since Lamborghini only has two current models available, this is a stirring message indeed.   Credence is given to this rumour is the fact that it quite possibly may have been let slip by none other than CEO Stephan Winkelman himself at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

What is a mystery however is quite what will be unveiled to the world.  Speculation surrounds a number of options.  The Gallardo may be due a replacement and so a concept car in this regard is a distinct possibility.

A breathtaking option may be a Roadster evolution of the Aventador, which itself debuted in Switzerland before.  This could be a very strong possibility, given the amount of noise circulating around such an electrifying car.  Digital renditions of what this may look like have already been circulating for some time.   A carbon-fibre retractable roof on this cabriolet would be well worth the wait.

Hearsay also does not preclude the chance that a production version of the Sest Elemento Concept car.  This was something confirmed by Lamborghini last September, when they announced that a limited production run of twenty would be made available, but to date there have been no sightings of confirmed prototypes.

What could be the pinnacle of expectation however is the thought that an entirely new model will be unveiled.  Lamborghini could do well to add to their current range with such a release.  Fans may be more on edge than children the night before Christmas, but whatever happens it will certainly be a spectacle to behold.

The Signature buying team will be hot footing it over to Geveva again this year to see what’s new so we can be first in the queue for the latest must have models from Lamborghini to add to our already fine stable of performance supercars.
