New Bentley GT V8 Transported by Helicopter

Bentley’s new Continental GT V8 soared over the cityscape tethered below a helicopter. Finished in ‘St James Red’, the car was destined to be perched atop a specially designed podium at the summit of a high rise complex close to the City’s fashionable SkyLounge venue where 300 VIP guests were settled down for the launch party.

Dubbed the first “green” Bentley, the company have seemingly achieved the impossible in meeting self imposed environmental targets whilst delivering everything a Bentley is supposed to deliver and more.

The objective was to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 40 percent compared to the company’s renowned 537hp W12. To think that has been achieved in a four litre 500bhp twin turbocharged V8 weighing over 5,000lb is jaw dropping. As is performance – 0-60 miles an hour drops in just 4.6 seconds, with a sound track of rolling thunder pushing the GT relentlessly on to 188mph.
