Spies on the spy car – is the DB11 here?

aston-martin-db11-sideBond’s colleagues have been hard at work sussing out the latest Aston Martin offering, which is due to be on shelves in 2017.

They’ve managed to snap pictures of the prototype as it zoomed round a test track, and it tells us some interesting things about the marque’s next production model.

It appears as if the DB10, due to appear in forthcoming 007 film Spectre, is indeed the new styling direction for Aston Martin, as the new car shares its stubby features.

Although the swirling paintwork makes precise study impossible, experts have peeked inside to see a digital instrument cluster, which is expected to morph into a more traditional looking Aston Martin dashboard.

We do know that a Mercedes-AMG V8 currently lies under the bonnet, and that it’s likely to come in at around the 500BHP mark.

Given that there will be a flurry of marketing around Spectre, and that this model is expected to be previewed next year for 2017 delivery, we’re likely to hear a lot more about it soon.

What we do know is that Aston Martin have already trademarked the DB11 name, making it logical – though not certain – that we already know the moniker for this exciting new car.
