We won’t know if the buyer of this Lamborghini Sogna will let us see this jewel on the streets but with a price like a diamond (2.4 million Euros), it is destined to be one of the most extravagant Lamborghinis available for driving.
History
Hailing from Lamborghini’s halcyon design era of the 90s, this 1994 Lamborghini Sogna is textured, futuristic and sporty. Lamborghini were smart when designing and coming up with the concept of this car. The word ‘Sogna’ means Dream and we can see why: every line and curve of this car would be found in a dream. Japanese company Art+Tech was the company that was commissioned to undertake this concept and bring it to reality. Sadly production plans for the car were dropped but it did leave a mark on what we believe Lamborghini to be. The engine was a 5.2 litre mid-mounted core. The horsepower was around 455; as the other Sogna is in a museum in France, this has made this auction-destined Sogna hotly contested amongst Lamborghini collectors who want something rare and unique for their collection.
It was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The Sogna has a five speed manual which gives it a pure sporty feel and the top speed circulates at around 202 mph. The Sogna on auction is just one of 2 available, and it’s the only Sogna that has an engine. Needless to say, this Lamborghini is going to be in a lot of demand. The car is currently on the block for around £982,000.
