The Mercedes-Benz S Class

German marque Mercedes-Benz set itself a difficult task – the company wanted to build in its words, ‘the best automobile in the world’. The company wants to achieve this with the S Class which hopes to regain its crown as the luxury saloon car market leader. The marque designed the S-Class with a longer-wheelbase and it is also wider than you would expect. Mercedes-Benz is said to be trying to attract more Chinese buyers with these changes.

The new S Class is lightweight thanks to the aluminium used to build the car. There is also low-drag which makes the S-Class remain timeless and not look dated compared to other marque’s models.

The styling of the new S-Class

Coming in a variety of colours, the metallic finish in the pictures shows off the class and sleek beauty that is traditionally associated with the S-Class, except this time it is updated and freshened up for the luxury saloon market. The cabin of the S-Class includes upholstery stitched with the most sumptuous leather and wood. There will be 5 rear seat options and there will also be ambient lighting. Infotainment is part of the technologically-forward interior of the S-Class. Mercedes-Benz seems to be playing for keeps with the new S-Class to remind the luxury automotive industry of its prowess in manufacturing luxury prestige cars.

The new S Class together with the E Class and C Class are already on order with Signature for arrival in 2014.
