The Royal Baby Hoax by the Sun Features Signature’s New Range Rover!

Once again a Signature car has ‘Royal’ connections! This time, our brand new Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Vogue SE was used to transport Kate and Will lookalikes to the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London for the Sun Newspapers hoax arrival of the Royal couple this weekend.

For those of you who missed the stunt, take a look at the press clippings below along with some feature pictures of the couple arriving in front of the World’s press for this tongue in cheek spoof.

Camera crews and press photographers have been pitched outside the hospital for days waiting for the arrival of William and Kate and the imminent arrival of the royal birth so it was no surprise when reporters rushed to grab pictures of the couple exciting our Range Rover eager to be the first with exclusive snaps of the couple arriving.

Professional lookalikes Nicola Maher, 22, from Lancashire, and 30-year-old Tom Moore from Bromley, South London, exited our black 4 x 4 and approached the front steps of the entrance before turning towards on-lookers to reveal their SUN T-Shirts reading: “No1 for Royal baby news.” After spending time with the press and Royal on-lookers, lookalikes Nicola and Tom jumped back into our Range Rover, both happy to know the stunt had been taken in good humour by all.

This is not the first time one of our cars has been used as transportation for this Royal couple. Back in 2011, when Kate and William were married, our Mercedes S63 AMG was used to transport Sarah Burton, Royal Wedding dress designer, for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

News was announced this morning that the real Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived safely to the Lindo Wing, this time so discretely that they were not seen arriving. We wish the couple all the best and wait to hear in the new baby is a girl or boy.
