Is a shooting brake for Aston Martin a possibility?

Shooting brakes are weaved into the tapestry of Aston Martin’s history. Several wagon conversions were made by coachbuilders on the Vantage, Virage and DB5. Bertone made the Jet 2+2 as an example of their shooting brake work. Speculation is that the Jet 2+2 could actually be produced even though the Jet 2+2 was only built as a one off. Management at Aston Martin are considering going into full production for the Jet 2+2 considering the excellent response it has received from the public and the industry. It will be limited production though to test the market.

What is being shared in the industry is that it will be based on the Rapide S; it could also be made in-house or Bertone could take the helm. On the assumption that the limited edition run is less than 10 units, Aston Martin could actually do the production itself. What you can expect is for the name to probably to change from Jet to Rapide S Shooting Brake. This will be a luxurious but rip roaring shooting brake for Aston Martin enthusiasts.
