If you are a fan of super speed supercars, then you should get down to Silverstone this weekend and enjoy a huge programme of races which celebrate show stopping performance cars including Marques like Porsche, Aston Martin and Lamborghini.
The Silverstone Classic is renowned for its spectacular on-track parades where last year Ferrari gathered an unprecedented 60 scarlet F40s to the track in a memorable tribute marking 25 years of the world’s first 200mph supercar.
This year should be equally impressive featuring no less than three major parades for your entertainment. The biggest will see 911 road and competition versions of Porsche’s evergreen 911 to mark 50 years in the life of one of the world’s most celebrated, revered and distinguished automotive creations. At the last count more than 800 Porsche owners have signed to join Sunday’s 911 x 911 pageant which has been organised by the Porsche Club GB.
Not to be outshone, Aston Martin also celebrates a momentous milestone. Celebrating its centenary on Saturday, Aston Martin will parade 100 Aston Martin models. In addition, another 250+ members of the Aston Martin Owners Club will be displaying their very own loved cars on the Silverstone infield.
Lamborghini will also be celebrating its 50th anniversary at this year’s Silverstone Classic event. More than 100 Lamborghini cars will display and parade on track and will include models representing all five decades since Lamborghini was founded in 1963. The famous Italian company is previewing its power show by presenting its latest Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera Edizione Tecnica at the Silverstone Classic Media Day.
