Bentley has this week released details of their luxury grand tourer, the Bentley Continental GT. This is a third generation model of their Continental GT which oozes style, innovation and luxury.
Bentley describes their new model as having a bold, sculptured exterior with an innovative and luxurious interior offering Bentley driver’s elegant refinement.
Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Britain this iconic GT brings together natural materials with cutting-edge technology to surpass previous offerings.
We can expect to see:

- – Enhanced version of renowned 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine which delivers 635 PS (626 bhp) and 900 Nm (664 lb.ft.)
- – 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds)
- – Top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph)
- – Dual-clutch and eight-speed transmission for faster, more efficient performance

At the core of the new Bentley Continental GT lies an all-new, improved version of Bentley’s infamous 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 TSI engine, mated, for the first time, to a dual-clutch eight-speed transmission which produces a faster, more efficient gear change.
Additional improvements includes a new and technically advanced adaptive chassis which uses Bentley’s clever 48-volt Dynamic Ride System to create a responsive drive and exceptional handling on the road. The new system controls ride comfort and lateral roll, cushioning passengers from excessive movement as well as making the car feel effortlessly precise.
The design of the exterior is striking and has been developed by using advanced technology to result in a light but rigid shell. The engine has been re-located further back which helps achieve a driver-focused and captivating drive.
The Bentley Continental GT includes 4 seats and additional space for luggage, making it more practical without compromising on the luxury refinement it is known for. The cabin is elegant, as you would expect from this British manufacturer with design focus on the new ‘diamond in diamond’ leather design.
Bentley has also included extensive development to their application of exclusive technology. An advanced, fully digital, driver-focused instrument panel and Bentley Rotating Display for the driver are available in the array of impressive innovations. The display features an imposing 12.3” touchscreen placed beautifully in a three-sided unit, which rotates the veneer to reveal the touchscreen as well as three elegant analogue dials.
Bentley have kept the modern luxury driver in mind when designing and creating the interior of the Continental GT. Pure attention to detail that combines a seamless experience is matched in achievement by cutting-edge on board technology. Bentley describes the result as “an exquisite, harmonised, connected and luxurious space.”
The new Continental GT will make its global debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show between 12 and 24 September, 2017. More details will be released here soon.
