Strong indications have emerged that a new evolution of the brilliant Gallardo Spyder may soon be born in the Italian town of Sant’Agata Bolognese. From those who have ears close to the Lamborghini stable, Car Buzz this week reported that a rear-wheel drive Gallardo 550-2 Spyder will be their next divine creation.
Official confirmation is yet to be issued, but it is reported that Automobili Lamborghini indicated that they will build a ‘more demanding’ model which offers a ‘more emotional and gratifying drive’. Given the levels of excellence that are the existing standard at Lamborghini, one can only wonder how much better this can get.
The news is that ‘since it would be based on the coupe version of the rear-wheel-drive supercar, it makes complete sense for the 550-2 Spyder to have this improved driving experience’.
